This Privacy Policy explains how Daniel Furčák (“Treekeeper”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Treekeeper mobile game, visit treekeepergame.com, or contact us.

This Policy applies to the Treekeeper mobile application, the real-tree programme connected to the game, treekeepergame.com, and messages or support requests sent to us.

Third-party websites, applications, advertising networks, and services have their own privacy practices.

3. Information We Collect

Information connected with your game account

Treekeeper creates an anonymous account so that your progress can be saved. We may process:

• an automatically generated anonymous user identifier;
• game progress, completed levels and series;
• scores, rewards, Water Drops, lives, and achievements;
• difficulty and gameplay-performance information used to adjust the game;
• reward choices and rewarded-ad completion status;
• dates of activity and inactivity;
• game settings and preferences.

You are not required to provide a name, email address, or conventional account password to play.

Tree programme information

If you qualify for a tree, we may process your assigned Tree ID, the name you choose for your tree, tree-journey status and progress, milestone and deadline information, photographs of your assigned tree, and information about replacement or updated tree photographs.

Please do not use your full legal name, contact details, or other sensitive personal information as the name of your tree. Parents and guardians should help younger players select a non-identifying tree name.

Age information

Treekeeper asks you to select an age group through a neutral age screen. We store the selected age group rather than your date of birth. We use it to apply appropriate privacy protections, advertising settings, and parental-authorization requirements. We do not use age-group information to personalize advertising to children or teenagers.

Information collected automatically

When you use the Service, we and our providers may receive technical information such as:

• IP address;
• device type and model;
• operating system, browser, language, and app version;
• approximate country or region derived from an IP address;
• network requests, timestamps, service logs, and error information;
• installation or service identifiers;
• cookie and consent preferences;
• information needed to prevent fraud, abuse, or technical failures.

Treekeeper does not intentionally collect precise GPS location, contacts, microphone recordings, or camera content.

Advertising information

Treekeeper may display optional rewarded advertisements using Google AdMob.

Depending on your age, location, consent choices, and device settings, Google and its advertising partners may process device and app information, IP address and approximate location, advertising or app-instance identifiers where legally permitted, ad impressions and interactions, completed videos, reward events, consent and age-treatment signals, and information used for fraud prevention, frequency control, and aggregated reporting.

Players identified as children or teenagers receive age-appropriate, non-personalized advertising. Personalized advertising may be enabled only for eligible adult users where permitted and after any legally required consent.

Website analytics and cookies

Treekeepergame.com uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the website.

With your consent where required, Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies to process information such as visited pages, session duration, approximate location, device information, browser information, and interactions with the website.

Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies are not activated before consent where consent is required. You can change your choices through the website’s Privacy & Cookie Settings.

• provide and operate the game;
• save and restore progress;
• deliver rewards and adapt gameplay difficulty;
• assign and administer real trees;
• display Tree IDs and tree photographs;
• provide support and respond to requests;
• deliver and verify rewarded advertisements;
• understand website use and improve the Service;
• maintain security and prevent fraud or abuse;
• comply with legal obligations;
• establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

Where the GDPR or similar law applies, we rely on:

• Performance of a contract to provide the game, save progress, administer rewards, and operate the tree programme.
• Legitimate interests to secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, provided those interests do not override your rights.
• Consent for non-essential cookies, personalized advertising, tracking, and processing that legally requires consent.
• Legal obligation where processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
• Protection of legal rights where necessary to handle disputes, fraud, or legal claims.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before consent was withdrawn.

6. Children and Teenagers

Treekeeper is designed for a mixed-age audience, including children. Children are not excluded from the Service solely because they are under 13.

Players who are not legally able to make their own privacy choices should use the Service with the knowledge and involvement of a parent or legal guardian. Where local law requires parental authorization for processing based on consent, we require that authorization before carrying out the relevant consent-based processing.

In Slovakia, consent-based processing connected with information society services generally requires authorization from a parent or legal guardian when the child is under 16. Other countries may use a different age. This rule applies when consent is the legal basis and does not create a universal minimum age for using Treekeeper.

For users identified as children or teenagers, we apply age-appropriate protections, use non-personalized advertising with restricted content, and do not knowingly use their activity for personalized or behavioural advertising.

For users under 13 in the United States, we apply protections required by the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”). We do not ask a child to provide a full legal name, email address, date of birth, precise location, contacts, microphone recordings, or camera content to play. We process limited account, device, gameplay, security, and advertising information as described in this Policy to operate and protect the Service, save progress, and provide contextual rewarded advertisements.

If verified parental consent is legally required for a particular collection, use, or feature, we will obtain it before that processing or will not make the relevant feature available to the child. A parent or legal guardian may contact us to ask about information connected with their child, request its deletion, or refuse further collection where applicable. We may request reasonable verification of the requester’s identity and relationship to the child.

7. When We Share Information

We may share information only as reasonably necessary with:

• Supabase, which provides anonymous authentication, database, and storage services. Our primary Supabase project is hosted in Paris, France.
• Google AdMob and approved advertising partners, which deliver and measure advertisements.
• Google Analytics, which provides website analytics after applicable consent.
• Apple, in connection with distribution through the App Store and device-level services.
• hosting, security, email, and technical service providers acting on our instructions;
• professional advisers and public authorities where required by law;
• another operator in connection with a lawful reorganization or transfer of the Service, subject to appropriate protections.

We do not sell personal data for money. In some jurisdictions, personalized advertising or disclosure to advertising partners may legally be considered a “sale”, “sharing”, or targeted advertising. Where applicable, eligible users may opt out through Privacy & Cookie Settings or by contacting us.

8. International Transfers

Our primary game database and tree-photo storage are hosted in Paris, France.

Some providers, including Google and Apple, may process information outside Slovakia or the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected through adequacy decisions, standard contractual clauses, or another legally recognized safeguard. You may contact us for additional information about applicable transfer safeguards.

9. Data Retention

Game accounts and associated game data are scheduled for deletion after 100 consecutive days of inactivity.

Before deletion, an account may include game progress, Water Drops, Tree ID, tree name, tree status, and related photographs. Once deletion is completed, progress and the connection between the account and its assigned tree may not be recoverable.

We may retain support correspondence for as long as necessary to resolve a request, limited security and service logs for fraud prevention and system protection, information required by law or necessary for legal claims, and temporary backup copies until securely overwritten.

Google and other independent providers apply their own retention periods to information processed through their services.

10. Sharing a Tree Photograph

The app may allow you to share a tree photograph and accompanying text through the sharing tools provided by your device.

Sharing occurs only when you initiate it and choose a destination. The selected social network, messaging service, or other recipient processes the shared content under its own privacy policy.

11. Your Choices

Depending on your location, you may be able to:

• accept or reject non-essential cookies;
• choose whether eligible personalized advertising is allowed;
• change your advertising and consent choices;
• control tracking through iOS settings;
• avoid optional rewarded advertisements;
• request access to or deletion of your account.

Non-personalized advertising may still use limited information for contextual ad delivery, fraud prevention, frequency control, and aggregated reporting.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to obtain information about our processing, access or correct your personal data, request deletion, restrict or object to processing, receive portable data where applicable, withdraw consent, object to targeted advertising, and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.

To make a request, email support@treekeepergame.com. Include your Tree ID, if available, and enough information for us to identify the relevant anonymous account. We may request additional verification to prevent unauthorized access or deletion.

You may lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic or with the competent authority in your country.

13. Security

We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encrypted network connections. No electronic service is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access, loss, or misuse will never occur.

14. External Services and Links

The Service may contain links to third-party services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users when they leave the Service.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy when the Service, providers, legal requirements, or processing activities change. We will publish the updated version on treekeepergame.com and change the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
